South Africa’s Zozibini Tunzi was crowned Miss Universe 2019, giving the country its second title in 3 years, smashing Puerto Rico’s Madison Anderson and Mexico’s Sofia Aragon in the finale where more than 90 women from across the world took part in which was held in the United States on Sunday.
“I grew up in a world where a woman looks like me, with my kind of skin and my kind of hair was never considered to be beautiful”.
“I think that it is the time that stops today. I want children to look at me and see my face and I want them to see their faces reflected in mine”
quoted Tunzi in her last response.

Whereas Miss Teen USA held at Grand Sierra Resort in Nevada, Kaliegh Garris was crowned the new winner who was also a black colored woman. Likewise, Miss USA Chelsie Kryst and Miss America Nia Franklin, all three black women simultaneously hold the crown for America’s top pageants this year.

Miss World, the next big pageant of all time is being held on December 14, 2019, at Excel London, United Kingdom where last year’s winner Vanessa Ponce crowns her successor. In the event, nominated women from countries like Mexico, South Africa, Nepal, India and many more including more than 100 countries will be taking part in the event.
