Is mixer going to be the biggest streaming service for gaming platform?
Sure, all of you do know about the current biggest streaming service provider for the gaming platform “Twitch” which has been around for a long time and has been giving unlimited entertainment to the audience through its streaming services. Twitch has been dominating the Internet beyond its imagination with almost 2.55 billion hours of videos watched. There are also a lot of popular full-time streamers on twitch who have a lot of fans following and Twitch has a partnership with almost every popular streamer on its platform. But recently, the two most popular Twitch streamers left the platform and moved to the new platform named “Mixer”. For most of you who don’t know about “Mixer”, it is a video game streaming platform currently owned by “Microsoft Corporation”. Mixer adds two most popular streamers of all time named “Michael shroud Grzesiek” the most popular FPS videogame player of all time and “Tyler Ninja Blevins” the most popular Fortnite player on twitch. While it’s true Mixer doesn’t have the number of audience and hours of video watched as big as twitch but with the presence of two popular streamers on the Mixer community, the platform gets a whooping increase in a number of audience and hours of video watched.
Both the streamers signed an exclusive deal with Mixer which also implies that Mixer isn’t fooling around anymore and will be pushing their platform as far as possible to make it popular and if Mixer manages to become a streamer-led platform, one that offers the kind of flexibility and institutional support many streamers want, it will explode in popularity among the people it relies on for content. Also there have been reports that Mixer offered “Dr. Disrespect” the best content creator on Twitch for about 6 Million$ to join their platform, which basically means Mixer is ready to throw any amount of money to bring in all the popular streamers on the platform, considering Twitch doesn’t support the content creators and its streamers the way they want, many of the streamers are considering to move to Mixer sooner or later. This will lead to the massive downfall of the Twitch community and the quality of contents, videos and entertainment will also go down which will result in a decrease in the number of audiences. But, who knows what the future holds for both the streaming services. For now, let’s hope the Mixer will be better and flexible for streamers and their audience and better than Twitch.
