North Korea to cut off military ties with South Korea

North Korea said a while ago that it will cut military and political communications with South after it fails to stop defectors from sending leaflets to the North.

NK is warning South since last Thursday that it is angry about the leaflets scattered across the border.

The North Korean defectors who live in the South want to topple the North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

So, since Thursday it has been issuing threats that if the South Korean government
doesn’t do something to stop these leaflets, they are going to shut down the joint liaison office in Kaesong.

Later, North Korea furthermore claimed that it will make the “South” suffer.
North Korea’s ruling party said ‘work towards the South [Korea] should thoroughly turn into the one against an enemy.’

“North Korea will completely cut off and shut down the liaison line between the authorities of the North and the South, which has been maintained through the North-South joint liaison office this Tuesday,” claimed a reporter.

Chinas neighbours’ – the Koreas remain technically at war because the 1950-1953 Korean war ended with an armistice rather than a peace treaty.
