With the massive global success of the first movie of “Wonder Woman” and a box office of 821 million USD, Director Patty Jenkins is back for the 2nd wonder woman movie. Warner Bros drops another movie to the wonder woman series, named as “WW84“. The trailer was dropped last Sunday with many plotholes and questions left for the fans to answer like the resurrection of “Steve Trevor”. Steve Trevor, the lead male character who died in the first movie appeared in the trailer and has somehow been brought back to the movie.

The first movie was set on world-war-1, while the new movie will be jumped decades into the future to be set in 1984, which is the reason why the movie title is named “WW84”. Patty Jenkins recently revealed why she decided on that timeline for the new movie, she said: “Why 1984? We wanted to bring Diana into the modern world, but the ’80s is a period that Wonder Woman is quite synonymous with. So it was great to see her there, but most importantly, it’s sort of the height of Western civilization and the success of the world that we all live in in the aftermath of now. So I was curious to collide our Wonder Woman into the height of our current modern belief system, and what kind of villains come out of that, and see what happens. So it all came quite naturally.

What to expect from the movie?

Well, as Patty Jenkins already said, you can expect the movie to be quiet “Modernish“. There will obviously be the introduction of new villains, besides the modernish “Thor-Ragnarok” type of theme and villain, there will be an introduction of a new suit for Diana which really looked cool on the trailer. We might also get the answer to how Steve Trevor came back to the movie after his death on the first one. The movie is set to release on June 4, 2020, coming summer.
